Dropin Customer and Dropin Rider users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data through our account-deletion support channel.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Purged upon identity verification

  • Profile & Identity: Full name, registered phone number, email address, profile avatar.
  • Authentication Records: Login tokens, Firebase credentials, and active session identifiers.
  • Addresses & Location: Saved home, work, and personal delivery addresses with geolocation coordinates.
  • Device Identifiers: Push notification tokens (FCM) and device preferences.
  • App Preferences: Active cart items, saved wishlists, search history, and loyalty rewards balance.

Data Retained & Regulatory Reasons

Statutory financial & tax compliance retention

  • Tax & Invoicing Ledgers: Completed transaction amounts, GST invoices, and financial payment records.
  • Legitimate Reason: Retained strictly to comply with statutory taxation mandates (GST Act, Income Tax Act) and accounting audit compliance.
  • Fraud & Dispute Prevention: Records of fulfilled deliveries and payment settlements retained to resolve chargebacks and active customer claims.
  • Retention Scope: Financial records are preserved strictly as mandated by applicable statutory laws and then permanently destroyed.
  • Active Order Protection: Accounts with active, pending, or in-transit orders cannot be deleted until all orders and outstanding settlements are concluded.
